Leading Democratic organizations co-sign Guidelines
Washington, DC - Zinc Labs is proud to announce that the release of the “Quick Start AI Guidelines for Democratic Campaigns” has been widely supported and co-signed by more than 20 organizations across the Democratic ecosystem.
In addition to the original partner organizations of DigiDems, Higher Ground Labs and Cooperative Impact Lab, co-signers include NGP VAN, MoveOn, The Movement Cooperative, Community Tech Alliance, Action Network, Democratic Data Exchange, Analyst Institute, Arena, Bluebonnet, LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, Quiller, Research Collaborative, Progressive Campaign Change Committee, Stac Labs, CASA, Daisychain, Authentic, Personified, DonorAtlas, Universe, Trestle, and SoSha.
The widespread support reflects an emerging consensus among leading Democratic organizations about how generative AI can be used effectively, ethically, and responsibly to defend democracy.
Key Highlights from “AI Guidelines”:
- Guardrails to help campaigns and Democratic political staff get the most from generative AI while mitigating risks
- Practical steps for how campaigns and organizations can integrate AI into their work long-term
- Low-investment, high-value uses of generative AI that campaigns can use during the 2024 election and beyond
“We are thrilled to see such strong support from proven political tech leaders for the ‘Quick Start AI Guidelines for Democratic Campaigns,’” said Matt Hodges, the Executive Director of Zinc Labs. “This consensus not only demonstrates our commitment to responsible use of AI in campaigns but also underscores that Democrats are at the forefront of strategically deploying this rapidly evolving technology.”
The AI Guidelines represent one of the most ambitious attempts yet to make AI accessible, and the result is a practical, actionable, and easy to use-guide for those working in the Democratic ecosystem.
